A Word from Our Commander

Greetings Fellow Veteran and Welcome to VFW Post 2604.

As Commander it is a great honor and a profound privilege to welcome you to membership in Orland / Palos Reber-Tesmond Memorial Post 2604 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States. We are looking forward to offering you the many benefits that come with membership in our organization as well as the camaraderie and friendships I am sure you will make as you become more aquatinted with our fine organization.

We represent all service branches and our members have served in all of our nation’s military actions. With your participation, we will continue to be of value to our nation and our communities. We have a proud heritage. Founded in 1973 in Orland Park, we consolidated our operation with the VFW post in Palos Heights, IL in 2008 and again in 2011 with the VFW post in Palos Park, IL in an effort to maintain a Veteran’s presence in our neighboring communities.

We appreciate members who regularly attend the general meeting, participate in our events, enjoy themselves with fellow comrades-in-arms, and occasionally join us for coffee on Tuesday mornings.
